Scarves to Vests

Week 5 = Cataloging Patterns
Day 3 = January 31, 2014

When looking through my patterns, I have found a huge variety and a long list of ideas that have come from these fabulous patterns and talented designers. To continue where we left off yesterday, I will be showing you patterns from Scarves to Vests.

Scarf
Un-Biased Scarf by Cheryl Beckerich
Un-Biased Scarf
This pattern was eye catching. The combination of colors and diagonal slant makes it a mind bending pattern.

Shawl
I have 3 hanks of red/black Mink and am going to do this shawl. I love in the patterns direction that the designer said the real name of this piece is “To ______ With Love” meaning the name of whoever the shawl is being made for gets put in the blank. So I will be making “To Me With Love.”

Shrug
Chickadee Shrug by Tanis Gray
I am fascinated by shrugs. I have several patterns that are long and short-sleeved. A shrug could be very handy to have for a little coverage on a spring evening.

Slippers
Cozy Cosette Footsies by Julie O’Neil
These slippers look so warm and toastie. I like the pattern on the top of the foot. It is very intriguing.

Socks
I have just learned how to knit socks. Knitting with 2 colors is a dream of mine. I will get there one day.

Sweater
Covington by Melissa Leapman
I love Melissa Leapman and this pattern. My mom and I both saw this pattern at the Stitches East Conference last year and fell in love with it right away. I absolutely love V-neck sweaters and have had problems finding open neck patterns.

Top
Chain Letter by Sandi Rosner
 Chain Letter picture
This top is very appealing because of the textured green and blue design. It's a perfect example of how to add depth to a pattern.

Toys
The Parlor Cat by Sara Kellner
The Parlor Cat Pattern
One of these days I am going to make this for my mother-in-law. She doesn't even know how to turn on a computer so I can freely list any and all projects meant for her. She and her husband have about 8 cats so this would be a welcome addition without the added labor.

Vest
Sexy Vesty by Theresa Gregorio

When I lose 50 pounds, I will make and wear this vest. I love the diamond pattern on the front and again the V-neck.

So this concludes the patterns on my computer. Tomorrow I will pull out my 3-ring binder and show you what treasures I have there.

Question of the Day
Which of these patterns are you most inspired to knit?

Knitting my way through the internet,

Victoria
