Charity Time

Week 3 = Catalog Yarn
Day 3 = January 17, 2014

Hello and welcome to Charity Friday. I didn't want to leave out donated and somewhat older yarns, so I gave them the best day of the week! FRIDAY! Purpose: Charity Projects

There are several ways that I'm involved with charity through my knitting. I participate in as many of the Flowertown Knitting Guild charity projects as I can. Plus, once a month I also host a Charity Knit Night Potluck at my house. It's very uplifting knowing that you're making something for somebody or an animal that has a need. I love it.

I've decided that I want to start a conversation with you, my readers. I know that I know some of you, but I would also like to know what you think of my blog and my topics. So, starting today I will end each blog with a question for you to comment on. For those of you that have not posted a comment or don't know how, here is a quick lesson.
  1. At the end of each blog should be a Comment section. Click on either the words "No Comment" (meaning you'll be the first to add a comment) or the "Comment" button, then type away.
  2. Be sure to SIGN your NAME
  3. Below the comment box you will see a field called "Comment as." Select Anonymous from the drop down menu.
  4. Click the button that says "Publish" and your comment will appear on my blog. That's it.
Now that you know how to do it, here is today's question:

What charities and items have you knit for?

  1. It's fun knitting for those who can't do it for themselves. As part of the Flowertown Knitting Guild Project, I've enjoyed knitting a blanket for an animal shelter and hope to do more. I'll get more yarn to use from thee when I'm visiting in February. ;-D Mom

    1. I love the pet blanket that you did, I finally got it to Kathy today, and as you can see I have plenty of Charity yarn for you to choose from.
