Week 32 = Knitting Facts
Day 3 = August 8, 2014
For Fabulous Friday my pattern of choice is Wingspan by maylin Tri'Coterie Designs. This pattern is a great example of how people can put their own spin on someone else's design. Today I am going to use mainly pictures today to give you as many examples as possible. If you want to see them all on Ravelry, just click Wingspan.
My Thoughts - The border between each
wing makes for a very stunning shawl.
© Cassiopia
My Thoughts - This shawl has a lot more wings
that are much shorter in length and the color
change is a subtle look.
© RaquelChole
My Thoughts - Who doesn't love watermelon!
I love the color pattern in this shawl.
© shastastevens
My Thoughts - Rather than leaving the points
square, this person decided to make them
pointy with nice arches in between.
© augenstern
My Thoughts - The red border around the
neck is the perfect touch of bold coloring.
© earthkat
My Thoughts - The yarn on this shawl stripes
perfectly for the different wings.
© AniaAR
My Thoughts - This shawl is smaller and I
think that it is kismet that it begins and
ends with the color purple.
© rhyolyn
My Thoughts - From the little bit that
we can see of this shawl, it looks like a
lot of small triangles in a beautiful
rainbow coloring.
© RedScot
My Thoughts - The points of this shawl
are quite exaggerated and it accents
the rows of eyelets beautifully.
© kulabra
My Thoughts - This is a different take on
the rainbow effect. Using the whole shawl
to do the rainbow change is gorgeous.
© KimLantz
My Thoughts - This one is my favorite!
I love the randomness of the striping.
It was changed to be shorter around
the neck than the other ones.
© Kitikotti
My Thoughts - Nothing is complete without
a beautiful lace sampler.
© dini31
My Thoughts - I love the white accents
on the wings and find it interesting
that one wing is missing the white.
My Thoughts - I put these two side be side so you can
really see the difference blocking can make. On the left
you have straight edges with little to no manipulation.
In the picture on the right the points of the triangle are
manipulated quite a bit.
© LanArta
My Thoughts - The leaf webbing combined
with the great color choice make this a
spectacular shawl.
© lfahlin
My Thoughts - This one looks like waves
because of the natural edges of the
triangles.
© Jovina
My Thoughts - The yarn choice on this one
is quite interesting.
© Sweetp
My Thoughts - This shawl makes me think
of a cute shawl that my girls would wear
during playtime.
© maylin
My Thoughts - The color combo for this one
is quite bold and stands out a lot.
