This week's pattern is a very cool one. This is a brioche style pattern scarf with 2 colors, increases and decreases. One of the cool things about the Brioche style is how the material turns out so airy and fluffy. You can even get a sense of the fluffiness from the pictures. See below.

You will notice that some people choose completely opposite colors like the one above by knitsontrains with purple and green. Then there were people that chose different shades of the same color like the one by Mari73 which is light and dark green. Also, there are some scarves like the ones by spiripi and Arcimboldo where you can clearly see the 2 different colors. On the other hand, in the ones by cucperson and #3 edler007 the different colors do not really stand out.

I am a huge fan of Brioche knitting because it is all about the rhythm. If you are a rhythm knitter and like having an easy flow, then this is the style for you. I had a mantra when knitting brioche and I used it constantly, it helped me immensely.

  1. This pattern is adorable!! I liked all the colors, but was really impressed with the brown/gold combination! I think it would be unique in black and white too!
