Day 5 = February 16, 2014
SAFF (Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair) and Knit Inn are 2 examples of smaller organizations putting on their own conferences locally.
The next SAFF is October 24-26, 2014 in Asheville, NC. SAFF does offer a membership starting at $15 with benefits that include early registration, email newsletter, and a listing in the Membership Directory. The conference has classes, vendors, livestock, contests, shows, demonstrations and a sit 'n' knit and sit 'n' spin. Workshops for this year's event are already listed on the SAFF website, click here. Early registration for members is July 1st and regular registration is July 15th. You can find all the information that you want if you click here.
All 3 pictures are images from AOL image search.
The next Knit Inn is early February 2015 in Greenville, SC. The Knit Inn is put on by South Carolina Knitting Guild. This year's event was just last weekend February 7-9. The website says that there will be updates for next year's program in November.
The best way to find these types of events in your area is to ask someone at your local yarn shop, guild or a knitting instructor. They will have the connections and knowledge to easily point you in the right direction.
