Knitting Needle Accessories

Week 27 = Knitter's Toolbox
Day 4 = July 5, 2014

Stoppers/Point Protectors are quite helpful. They are items that are used to protect the points of your needles and stop your project from falling off the needles. However my favorite use is to keep the needles from getting tangled in the project that you are currently knitting or other projects that might be in the same bag.

Knitting rubber bands as I call them are an ingenious knitting accessory. They are actually the rubber bands used for little girls' hair and/or the rubber bands for the loom bracelets. Both of these items are a great alternative to stoppers. Just wrap 1 rubber band around the tips of the needles and there you go, it stops your knitting from falling off the needles and holds both needles together.

Stitch markers are wonderfully helpful. When you have a lot of stitches to cast on, putting a stitch marker every 25 stitches can keep you from loosing count. Marking changes in the pattern is made easy just by putting a little stitch marker on your knitting.
