     When thinking of Christmas and decorating, something that comes to mind is a garland. I was very surprised when I checked out Ravelry and found quite a few garlands to show. They are colorful, purposeful, creative and stylish. The first two below even double as Christmas countdowns.

     What kid or adult for that matter wouldn't love to get this pony in their stocking? You could make one of the characters or create an all new one. The colors and combos are amazing. I might have to make a few for my Wee-One's 3rd birthday next year.

     Tonight I have realized that quite a lot of my knitting friends have had life changing events recently. I wish this meant marriages and babies, but unfortunately it is more like death and illness.

Week 50 = And so it begins...

Day 1 = December 10, 2014

     Christmas started the day after Thanksgiving at our house. We celebrated with my oldest who was only here for the week of Thanksgiving. Then my parents were in town and we had a Christmas with Memaw (aka Mom/Editor Extraordinaire) and Poppy.

     Do you remember Clover? He was the cute little sheep that my Mom got me from Ireland. Well, there was some awesome sheep presents from abroad and local. I also received some lovely knitting items. I look forward to sharing them with you.

My Monday - Gathered Sylvia - Week 2

Week 49 = Mittens and Gloves

Day 6 = December 8, 2014

     The scarf is finished! I had to adjust the pattern for the lack of yarn. I love how it turned out.

     I have seen several scarves over the years that are short. There are so many ways to wear a short scarf. I have often wondered about the type that have a hole close to one end that you can weave the opposite end through. Well, I think I like it and that my Aunt will love it.
